Banana Farmers To Get Punitive Damages From Dole

Law360 (November 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Dole Food Co. will have to pay punitive damages on top of the $3.3 million in actual damages awarded to six Nicaraguan banana farm workers who alleged that the company concealed the health dangers of a pesticide used on its banana plantations, a California jury decided on Wednesday.
