Takeda Wins Costs Dispute With Alphapharm

Law360 (November 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A clerk of the court has awarded Takeda Pharmaceutical Co.'s attorneys $211,000 in expenses for the work they did in a patent fight with generics drug maker Alphapharm Pty. Ltd., despite Alphapharm's assertion that they only should have gotten about $21,000.

The clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Thursday awarded Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP about $23,000 in court reporter costs, about $139,000 in printing costs, about $28,000 in witness costs, about $19,000 in interpreter costs and...
