China To Weigh Retroactive Duties On Solar Material Imports

Law360, New York (November 26, 2012, 5:41 PM EST) -- China said Monday it had launched an investigation to determine whether solar-grade polysilicon from the United States, the European Union and South Korea should be subject to retroactive import duties.

China's Ministry of Commerce, known as MOFCOM, announced it would consider whether to retroactively impose anti-dumping duties on the U.S., EU and South Korea, adding that it would also determine whether the polysilicon producers from the U.S. and EU were benefiting from government subsidies and should face retroactive countervailing duties.
