NJ Insurance Regulator Won't Delay PIP Rules

Law360, New York (November 27, 2012, 8:32 PM EST) -- New Jersey's insurance regulator on Friday refused to stay the adoption of changes to personal-injury protection regulations for auto insurance, rejecting arguments from some medical groups that the rules are unlawful and their implementation will cause irreparable harm.

Seven organizations including the New Jersey Healthcare Coalition, the Alliance for Quality Care Inc., the New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons asked the state Department of Banking and Insurance for the stay pending their challenge to the...
