Kensington Wins Suit Over Computer Lock Patents

Law360, New York (November 20, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- A jury in Marshall, Texas found that Kryptonite Corp. and its distributor, American Power Conversion Corp., infringed on patents held by ACCO Brands and its Kensington division for computer lock technology.

The jury found that all four models of Kryptonite's Quick Mount Cable Lock infringe Kensington's patents and awarded Kensington damages in excess of $1.13 million, ACCO Brands said in a statement.

ACCO Brands and Kensington said they would seek injunctive relief to prevent future sales of the infringing products.
