SEC Won't Charge Gentiva Over Medicare Reimbursement

Law360, New York (November 30, 2012, 1:22 PM EST) -- Gentiva Health Services Inc. said Thursday that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission wouldn't be bringing charges against the company over its participation in a Medicare reimbursement program for home health care, ending a more than two-year investigation.

A representative for the Atlanta-based company, which says it's the nation's largest home health care and hospice provider, didn't immediately respond to a request for comment Friday.

In July 2010, Gentiva revealed that the SEC had subpoenaed 10 years' worth of documents from the company about its participation...
