DOJ Asks Court To Defer Texas Voting Rights Act Challenge

Law360, Houston (November 30, 2012, 8:53 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice on Thursday said the state of Texas’ federal lawsuit questioning the constitutionality of the the Voting Rights Act should be put on hold until the U.S. Supreme Court decides a similar challenge, which could affect the outcome of the state’s case.
