Smart Online CEO, Brother, Brokers Indicted

Law360, New York (November 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The former CEO of Smart Online Inc. was charged in federal court along with his brother and two stockbrokers of participating in a scheme to inflate the value of the company's stock.

Michael Garcia, U.S. attorney for the southern district of New York, on Thursday indicted Smart Online ex-CEO Dennis Michael Nouri, his brother Reza Eric Nouri, and stockbrokers Ruben Serrano and Alain Lustig on a count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud, wire fraud and commercial

bribery, and a count of securities fraud.
