Huntington Unit To Pay $3.1M To End Loan Officers’ OT Suit

Law360, New York (December 3, 2012, 1:10 PM EST) -- A Huntington Bancshares Inc. unit has agreed to pay $3.1 million to resolve a putative class action in Ohio federal court brought by employees alleging the bank improperly denied overtime to mortgage loan officers, according to a Friday court filing.

Huntington's banking subsidiary, Huntington National Bank, reached a deal to clear up allegations made by a group of HNB mortgage officers in Ohio, who said they were incorrectly classified as exempt from overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws....
