Judge Refuses To Stay AHM's Sale, UBS Appeals

Law360 (November 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge has refused to delay the $500 million sale of American Home Mortgage Holdings Inc.’s servicing assets while UBS Real Estate Securities Inc. pursues an appeal of the sale order.

At a hearing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware Friday, Judge Christopher Sontchi denied UBS’s request to stay the sale pending appeal. Also on Friday, UBS filed a notice of appeal with the bankruptcy court, declaring that it was appealing Judge Sontchi’s Oct. 30 sale order in Delaware district court....
