7th Circ. Yanks BNY Mellon Win In $312M Sentinel Claim Case

Law360, New York (December 4, 2012, 4:51 PM EST) -- The Seventh Circuit on Friday withdrew its own ruling favoring a $312 million claim by Bank of New York Mellon Corp. against a challenge by Sentinel Management Group Inc.'s liquidating trustee, but offered no explanation for its decision to cancel the August order.

A three-judge panel issued just a two-sentence decree Friday: “The opinion of this court issued on August 9, 2012, is withdrawn and the judgment is vacated. This appeal remains under consideration by the panel.”
