FTC Clears Disney's $4B Lucasfilm Buy

Law360, New York (December 4, 2012, 6:51 PM EST) -- Federal regulators on Tuesday signed off on The Walt Disney Co.'s $4.05 billion purchase of production company Lucasfilm Ltd., maker of the iconic “Star Wars” science fiction series.

The Federal Trade Commission published a notice that it had granted early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.
