Apple Accused Of Infringing DVD-Viewing Patent

Law360, New York (December 5, 2012, 2:57 PM EST) -- Apple Inc. on Monday was sued in California federal court by a patent licensing company that claims the iPhone and iPad maker infringes its patent for DVD player technology that allows smooth transitions between scenes.

Technology Licensing Co. Inc., headquartered in Nicasio, Calif., claims Apple has manufactured and sold products in the U.S. that incorporate technology covered in U.S. Patent Number 5,734,862. The lawsuit doesn't specify the allegedly infringing Apple products.
