Texas Atty Sentenced To 3.5 Years For Bribing State Judge

Law360, Dallas (December 6, 2012, 5:59 PM EST) -- A Texas federal judge on Thursday sentenced an attorney convicted of six counts of public corruption for bribing a state trial court judge to 42 months in federal prison, U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson announced.

U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen also ordered Ray Roman Marchan, 55, to three years of supervised release after he finishes serving the prison term, for his role in the bribery scheme to pay former 404th District Court Judge Abel Corral Limas for favorable rulings and case assignments.
