GOP Bill Aims To Streamline Customs, Boost Trade Enforcement

Law360, New York (December 7, 2012, 7:06 PM EST) -- Rep. Kevin Brady, R-Texas, on Friday introduced a bill that would streamline international trade by making U.S. Customs and Border Protection more efficient, while boosting the enforcement of trade laws governing duties and intellectual property rights.

Brady has authored the Customs Trade Facilitation and Enforcement Act of 2012, which according to the congressman will encourage trade by reducing the delays and costs associated with cross-border trade.
