Solutia Noteholders Lose Fight Over Interest Claim

Law360, New York (November 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge ruled Friday that a group of senior secured noteholders will receive about $209 million with respect to their claim against bankrupt Solutia Inc., and not the more than $280 million they had requested.

In her opinion, Judge Prudence Carter Beatty of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York granted Solutia and the official committee of unsecured creditors' partial motion for summary judgment.
