Boston Scientific, Cordis Seek New Trial In Stent Case

Law360 (November 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Less than two weeks after a federal court jury held Boston Scientific Corp. liable for infringing on Cordis Corp.'s stent patents, both companies have agreed that the court failed to resolve their five-year dispute, asking the court on Friday to vacate its judgment and hold another trial.

The rival medical technology companies said in their joint motion that the northern California district court's Nov. 1 judgment “adjudicates fewer than all of the parties' claims, defenses, rights and liabilities.”
