GSK Asks Supreme Court To Weigh Double Avandia Damages

Law360, Washington (December 11, 2012, 6:30 PM EST) -- GlaxoSmithKline PLC has urged the U.S. Supreme Court to consider whether private insurers like Humana Inc. can seek double damages from the pharmaceutical giant over costs borne for Medicare patients harmed by the diabetes drug Avandia, claiming that remedy shouldn't be available to private insurers.
