Insurer, Law Firm Settle Coverage Row Over Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (December 12, 2012, 3:35 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Tuesday tossed an insurance coverage dispute between Twin City Fire Insurance Co. and Chartwell Law Offices LLP after the parties reached an agreement over Twin City's responsibilities for Chartwell's malpractice action involving several volunteer fire companies.

U.S. District Judge Jan Dubois' order did not disclose the terms of the settlement, which ends Twin City's quest for a court order absolving the insurer of liability for a malpractice action alleging Chartwell's predecessor negligently released claims against defendants who joined the suburban Philadelphia...
