Morgan Stanley's $16M Detente Triggers Protests

Law360, New York (November 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A group of former and current African-American employees of Morgan Stanley are seeking to block a proposed $16 million race-bias settlement, arguing that the deal does not provide enough recompense for the hundreds of aggrieved workers.

On Friday, a group of financial advisors filed papers in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, protesting the tentative agreement and its potential impact on another race-discrimination case currently unfolding in Chicago.
