Contractor Loses $1.5M FCCI Steel Railing Coverage Fight

Law360, Chicago (December 12, 2012, 6:55 PM EST) -- A Florida federal judge on Tuesday handed FCCI Commercial Insurance Co. a quick win in general contractor Structural Group Inc.’s $1.5 million suit demanding coverage for allegedly defective railings, ruling that corrosion to the railings did not constitute property damage under FCCI’s policy.
