Ill. Judge Won't Reinstate $10B Philip Morris Verdict

Law360, New York (December 12, 2012, 8:27 PM EST) -- An Illinois state judge Wednesday refused to keep alive a $10 billion suit accusing Philip Morris USA Inc. of deceptively marketing light cigarettes, finding the new evidence was not enough to show the Illinois Supreme Court would not have ruled in the tobacco giant's favor.
