Provident's Ex-CFO Indicted Over $485M Investor Fraud

Law360, Dallas (December 13, 2012, 5:26 PM EST) -- The former chief financial officer of Provident Royalties LLC was indicted Wednesday for his alleged role in a $485 million fraud scheme run by executives at the oil and gas investment company.

W. Mark Miller, 59, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and could face up to 20 years in prison for his part in allegedly duping 7,700 investors, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
