Another Mortgage Lender Targeted By FLSA Suit

Law360 (November 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A mortgage loan officer has filed a proposed collective action against his employer alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act in a situation that has become all too familiar for mortgage lenders across the country.

Jimmy Grinberg filed suit on Wednesday against his former employer, Florida-based First United Mortgage Service Corp., and the company’s owner and manager, Richard Rivera, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
