Judge Freezes Mississippi AG Suit Against State Farm

Law360, New York (November 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has put the brakes on a criminal probe launched by Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood amid allegations that State Farm Fire & Casualty Co. botched the claims of Hurricane Katrina victims.

U.S. District Judge David Bramlette said on Wednesday that he had extended the temporary restraining order issued in the case indefinitely or until the parties requested that it be dissolved, according to court documents.
