Metro Fuel Oil Creditors Seek Probe Of Ex-CFO

Law360, Los Angeles (December 14, 2012, 6:54 PM EST) -- The unsecured creditors committee for bankrupt Metro Fuel Oil Corp. on Thursday asked a New York bankruptcy judge to allow it to examine the fuel supply company’s former chief financial officer in connection with alleged financial irregularities that occurred on his watch.

The committee told U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Elizabeth S. Stong that it was necessary to interrogate Thomas J. Torre, Metro Fuel Oil’s chief financial officer until his termination last summer, about the company’s money problems, court papers said.
