Hostess Bakers Union Vows To Appeal Wind-Down Order

Law360, New York (December 14, 2012, 3:19 PM EST) -- Hostess Brands Inc.'s bakers union, whose weeklong strike in November prompted the Twinkies maker's decision to begin winding down its operations, said Friday it would appeal a New York bankruptcy judge's order approving that plan.

The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union and a related pension fund filed a notice of appeal from U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert D. Drain's Nov. 30 order approving Hostess' plan to wind down its businesses and sell off its assets.
