Insurer Tells 3rd Circ. 'Kids For Cash' Facilities Not Covered

Law360, New York (December 17, 2012, 6:04 PM EST) -- Markel International Insurance Co. urged the Third Circuit on Friday to uphold a lower court ruling saying it is not obligated to cover the operators of private juvenile-detention facilities in underlying suits alleging they paid two Pennsylvania judges kickbacks to steer juvenile offenders to their facilities.
