Nvidia Processors Infringe 3-D Patents, Suit Says

Law360, New York (December 19, 2012, 6:11 PM EST) -- A patent-holding company hit chipmaker Nvidia Corp. with a patent infringement lawsuit in California federal court Monday, accusing the company of infringing two patents for improving 3-D computer graphics.

FuzzySharp Technologies Inc. claims Nvidia's popular graphics processing units infringe its oft-asserted U.S. Patent Numbers 6,172,679 and 6,618,047, patents that the company has used to sue Sun Microsystems Inc., Dell Inc., Intel Corp., Sony Electronics Inc. and others over the past few years.
