International Coal Group Settles Ammonia Spill Suit

Law360, New York (November 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- International Coal Group subsidiary Patriot Mining Co. has agreed to pay $177,000 for allegedly failing to notify federal officials about an ammonia spill in West Virginia.

International Coal Group said on Thursday that it agreed to settle the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's allegations, which were filed in a lawsuit concurrently with the settlement last month.
