Court Puts Brakes On Light Truck CAFE Standards

Law360 (November 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a development that some are touting as a victory in the fight against global warming, a federal appeals court has rejected the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's proposed corporate average fuel economy standards for pickup trucks, minivans and sport utility vehicles, ruling that the NHTSA did not do enough to account for the environmental impact of its rule making.
