EEOC Targets Equal Pay, Hiring Barriers In Enforcement Plan

Law360, New York (December 18, 2012, 7:35 PM EST) -- The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has locked down its enforcement priorities as it seeks to reduce discrimination in the workplace through enforcing equal pay laws, eliminating hiring barriers and other measures, the worker protection agency said Tuesday.

The EEOC said in a statement that it has approved a Strategic Enforcement Plan designed to establish the agency’s enforcement priorities and better integrate its responsibilities in this regard, saying that the EEOC commissioners passed the plan with a 3-1 vote.
