AUO Exec Found Guilty Of LCD Price-Fixing

Law360, San Francisco (December 18, 2012, 5:38 PM EST) -- A California jury convicted AU Optronics Corp. executive Steven Leung on one count of price-fixing Tuesday, agreeing with federal prosecutors that he had conspired with other liquid-crystal display makers to drive up prices on panels used in flat-panel monitors, laptops and televisions.

The San Francisco federal jury deliberated for three hours in Leung's retrial before finding him guilty of one count of violating the Sherman Antitrust Act for price-fixing LCD panels from May 15, 2002, to Dec. 1, 2006. Leung showed no emotion as the verdict...
