Kirkland Help Sauer-Danfoss Weigh $2.3B Unsolicited Bid

Law360, New York (December 20, 2012, 5:53 PM EST) -- Industrial manufacturer Sauer-Danfoss Inc. has retained Kirkland & Ellis LLP to help evaluate an unsolicited bid from its biggest shareholder, looking to revisit a takeover chase from three years ago on friendlier terms this time around.

Danfoss AS, which already owns 75.6 percent of Sauer-Danfoss' stock, offered on Nov. 28 to pay $49 per share for the remainder, a deal that values the company at about $2.3 billion.
