Bankrupt Video Game Maker THQ Gets Financing Lifeline

Law360, Wilmington (December 20, 2012, 10:01 PM EST) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Thursday approved a temporary financing package for THQ Inc. that will keep the video game producer operating into the new year, when a crucial hearing will determine whether the company's fate is a going-concern sale or liquidation.

THQ is seeking an expedited auction process that would wrap up with a Chapter 11 sale by mid-January and has lined up private equity firm Clearlake Capital Group LP as a stalking horse bidder, a process opposed by several of the company's larger creditors....
