Coudert Bros. Wants Further Workforce Scaleback

Law360, New York (November 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Currently in wind-down mode, Coudert Brothers LLP has asked the bankruptcy judge overseeing its case to allow the dissolved international law firm to further downsize its skeleton staff while an examiner continues to investigate the reasons behind the company's decision to duck into Chapter 11.

On Thursday, the firm asked the court to allow Coudert to continue disposing of the remaining wind-down workforce, enabling it to remain in Chapter 11 during the court-appointed examiner’s ongoing probe of the company.
