Dallas Denies Keystone Unit's Floodplain, Park Drilling Bid

Law360, New York (December 21, 2012, 6:47 PM EST) -- The Dallas City Plan Commission on Thursday rejected a Keystone Exploration Ltd. subsidiary's request to drill natural gas in three sites in the area, saying city council policies weren't clear on whether the project could advance.

The three locations that Trinity East Energy LLC proposed include park land and a floodplain, and commissioners were uncomfortable about approving the drilling permits in absence of clear city council policy regarding drilling in those areas, according to the Dallas Morning News.
