Law360, New York (January 18, 2013, 12:29 PM EST) -- 2012 saw the emergence of the accountable care organization (ACO) from a theoretical idea to attempts to create coordinated care as envisioned by the Affordable Care Act. While the initial response from providers seemed lukewarm, revisions by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to the shared savings program regulations were better received.
