Adaptix Sues Apple, AT&T Over Data Encoding IP

Law360, New York (January 7, 2013, 1:33 PM EST) -- Technology licensing company Adaptix Inc. on Friday slapped Apple Inc. and AT&T Inc. with a patent suit in Texas federal court, claiming the iPhone 5 and iPad mini infringe two data encoding patents.

Carrollton, Texas-based Adaptix argues that AT&T and Apple are infringing U.S. Patent Numbers 7,454,212 and 6,947,748, both titled “OFDMA with Adaptive Subcarrier-Cluster Configuration and Selective Loading.”
