Patton Boggs Faults Energy Execs In $1.3M Malpractice Suit

Law360, Dallas (January 10, 2013, 9:35 PM EST) -- Patton Boggs LLP on Thursday defended its right to shift blame in a $1.3 million malpractice suit to two executives at the energy company suing the firm, telling a Texas state judge the men were responsible for approving contract language in a flubbed natural gas pipeline deal.

Gaedeke Energy LLC, which sued the firm after the final contract for the deal allegedly resulted in a $1.3 million overpayment, opposed Patton Boggs' motion to designate the executives as responsible third parties in the suit. The company said...
