United Rentals Sues Cerberus Over Repudiated Merger

Law360, New York (November 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- United Rentals Inc. has asked a state court to force Cerberus Capital Management LP to complete its $6.6 billion acquisition of it under the terms of the companies' merger agreement.

Greenwich, Conn.-based United Rentals, which bills itself the world's largest equipment rental company, sued two acquisition vehicles Cerberus had established for the purpose of buying United Rentals on Monday in Delaware state court.
