SAC Tipping Trial Hinges On Gov't Informant's Credibility

Law360, New York (January 7, 2013, 8:24 PM EST) -- Former SAC Capital portfolio manager Mathew Martoma, who pled not guilty Thursday to insider trading, could beat the charges at trial by attacking the government's star witness, a Michigan doctor who allegedly passed the tips and later received a sweetheart nonprosecution deal, attorneys say.
