Oil Workers Win Cert. In FLSA Action Over Safety-Meeting Pay

Law360, Philadelphia (January 7, 2013, 3:30 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Monday granted conditional class certification to a group of hourly employees of oilfield services company Precision Drilling Corp. who claim the company fails to compensate them for time spent putting on safety equipment and attending safety meetings.

U.S. District Judge Christopher Conner found that a nationwide group of all hourly rig employees who worked for Precision in the last three years belongs in the class.
