NJ Court Preserves Booting Of Prosecutor For Now

Law360, New York (January 8, 2013, 12:26 PM EST) -- A New Jersey appeals court refused Monday to overturn Gov. Chris Christie's ouster of Morris County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi, whose term had expired, in favor of a labor attorney who never won approval in the state Senate.

In a one-page order, the two-judge panel denied Bianchi's emergency bid to enjoin Christie and state Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa from replacing him with Frederic Knapp, but it did opt to fast-track the appeal going forward.
