Forest Labs Skirts Sanctions In Lexapro, Celexa Suicide MDL

Law360, New York (January 9, 2013, 2:54 PM EST) -- A Missouri federal judge on Tuesday refused to sanction Forest Laboratories Inc. over CEO Howard Solomon's deposition testimony in a multidistrict litigation over the suicide risks of the antidepressant drugs Lexapro and Celexa, ruling that Soloman did not behave inappropriately when answering questions.

Plaintiffs' attorney Arnold Anderson Vickery of Perdue Kidd & Vickery, who conducted the deposition, said that during the two-hour time frame, Solomon took too long to review documents he should have read beforehand, but U.S. District Judge Rodney W. Sippel refused to grant...
