Pa. House Dems Push Transit Investment To Fix Funding Gap

Law360, Philadelphia (January 10, 2013, 3:13 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania House Democratic leaders on Wednesday introduced legislation aimed at creating a long-term plan for funding the state's roads, bridges and transit systems, which face a funding gap expected to reach $7.2 billion by 2021.

The package of three bills introduced by Rep. Michael Hanna, D-Clinton and Centre, largely follows recommendations made by Gov. Tom Corbett's Transportation Funding Advisory Commission in August 2011.
