NJ Mayor Can't Revive Defamation Suit Over Informant Link

Law360, New York (January 10, 2013, 3:20 PM EST) -- The mayor of Long Branch, N.J., on Thursday lost his bid to reopen a defamation suit over campaign fliers allegedly insinuating he accepted bribes from a former real estate developer, after a state appeals court said he failed to show the statements were maliciously made.
