High Court To Hear Appeal Over California Labor Law

Law360 (November 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S Supreme Court has agreed to weigh in on a long-running case challenging a California labor law that prohibits employers from speaking out against unionization.

The decision to hear the appeal was hailed Tuesday by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which first challenged the statute in April 2002 as unconstitutional.

The National Chamber Litigation Center, the public policy law firm of the Chamber, urged the high court to overturn the decision of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which upheld the California Assembly Bill....
