Business Groups Press For More CBP Funding, Agents

Law360, New York (January 11, 2013, 4:43 PM EST) -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and 56 other business groups and corporations urged the federal government Thursday to provide more funds to Customs and Border Protection to alleviate slow downs at the nation's ports of entry.

Joined by other business trade groups, shipping companies, hotel chains and airlines, the U.S. Chamber said staffing at the country's ports had failed to keep up with increases in trade.
