FTC Pact Extends FCRA Reach To Mobile Industry

Law360, New York (January 11, 2013, 8:01 PM EST) -- The Federal Trade Commission brought its Fair Credit Reporting Act authority to the mobile space for the first time Thursday in settling an action against two mobile application operators that sold employment screening data, showing it plans to apply the reporting standard to the growing range of industries that trade in personal data, attorneys say.
